Mr Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo’s member cum Vice Prime Minister and Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Politburo’s member cum Vice President of the National Assembly attended the award ceremony.
Mr Mai Huu Tin, President of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, gave a speech at the opening of the ceremony. He expressed that throughout the past 10 years of organization, the Gold Star Award had awarded 1,727 turns of products’ brand names, and was a typical and prestigious award which played an important role in empowering brands and Vietnamese businesses in the integration of international economy, and was the proud symbol for Vietnamese businesses.
200 typical brands represented for 29 industries and industrial groups being awarded this year with Top 10, Top 100, Top 200 and Top 10 for businesses with good social responsibilities.
These 200 businesses have created over VN$ 743,000 billion in 2012’s revenue, total assets reached VN$ 1,845,000 billion, profit after tax reached VN$ 71,000 billion, payment for the budget was VN$ 46,000 billion and created jobs for 466,000 workers all over the country.
